Affirmations and music are in mine too. I also like to put myself in places that are physically inspiring. I love rooftops and to be near water or in wide open spaces like parks. That always puts me in a better mood.

This is the best way ever:

In a candid interview with talk show diva, Wendy Williams, Common revealed that his first love, Erykah Badu dumped him over the phone.

“She handed it to me. I was in my hotel room on tour and … she called me and was like, ‘Hey, I don’t wanna be in this relationship no more. I’m liking somebody else,’” the rapper-actor revealed of his ‘Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip-Hop)' collaborator.

thank you for this article. This has recently happened to me. I was laid off with the possibility of having summer work. Talked to my employer about an invitation I had to go to D.C. this summer to work unpaid for an advocacy program I'm involved with...I told her that I could not afford to go if I couldn't get unemployment well she told unemployment that I was going out of town for an internship and the stopped my payments. When all I did was let her know the opportunity that I had been offered. I have not went anywhere and now my unemployment has been stopped. It was an assumption on her part and I have to pay the price... with no income. I am diligently seeking employment else where by may have to return there in the fall if not. :-(

[...] When I started SASSY back in 2008, I was looking to fill a void in the blogosphere. Back then I didn’t feel like any site in particular related to where I was and in typical Eva fashion, when I couldn’t find it, I made it. I got a bunch of friends together and we started SASSY and it was great.
Unemployed going on 10 months, I did a short term of pet care over Christmas and New Years. My field is education.

On top of this my kitty of 9 years has lymphoma cancer and I just stated going through menopause.

This is not fun.... I consider myself an artist and have putting my craft together, but with the way the economy is I can't sell either. I'm trying to do farmers markets to see what happens.

Depressed yes you bet..

Thanks for listening.

Ive been off work for 3 weeks now and at first i thought "Piece of Cake i can do this" That mindstate only lasted one week. I was exercising as usual, my house was clean, i always cook at home and hardly ever ate out. But after one week the negative thoughts just started to creep in and little by little it was a down ward spiral and found myself in a state where i stopped working out , I clean a little, im eating fast food again, and i picked up drinking beer again. So reading this article was very inspiring. Alot of the people who commented on this article seem to have a bit of control now which is also inspiring. So thanks for all the good advice and wish me luck.

I don't know how I even ended up on this post, but I have two things to say:

1. Eva is FINE.

2. I think women should definitely take dating as more of an opportunity to simply enjoy life, I know I do. Although I generally date the same women, I don't expect marriage out of any of them (given I don't want to even be in a committed relationship right now), I just enjoy the time we're together.
